Whatta Weekend!

Whoa Nelly! What a weekend!
Picked up Mo.
Cooked dinner and even made chili for lunches this week. Note: The chili is freaking awesome.
Dishes Done.
Laundry is all done.
House was picked up, tore apart, picked up again.
Other than all that domestic stuff Mo and I had a chance to do the social thing too. Saturday night we went over to some friends to listen to the Royals game on the radio. I have to say that it’s not much of a listen because everyone is chatting and eating while kids are playing. Mo had a blast. She was playing hockey with the girls and making everyone eat peppers after she dipped them in the Buffalo Ranch sauce. Mo is the queen of the dip!
Sunday. Holy smokes, the weather was awesome. We went to Mo’s favorite store, TARGET, and then went to a park to play. Mo had a blast. She played on the slide. She climbed up the slide, she attempted the monkey bars (before daddy almost had a heart attack), and even chased a duck. I swear the spring air and good weather was like instant crack to her. For the rest of the day, and into the night, this kid was W-I-R-E-D! I thought that I’d bring her home so she can take a nap before heading back to Mommy’s. Oh no! This child would have nothing to do with a nap. She ate an entire can of Dora “Sketties”, and then decided to drag out every toy she owns into the living room. The kid isn’t allowed to watch Blues Clues until she starts mastering the art of using the potty, but that didn’t stop her from playing with her Blues Clues books, blanket and even her Blues Clues costume. (I agree with Safety Nazi, there has to be some form of chemical dependency).
When it was time to go, this kid would not stop for five minutes to get dressed. She dressed her self, but decided to put everything on BACKWARDS. I send her back, get her squared away and off we go to Mommy’s. You would think that at 8:30-9:00pm this kid would be tired. WRONG! She was fired up still. The look on MG’s face was like a deer in the headlights. We’ve never seen anything like this before. I said my goodbyes and wished MG the best of luck with the HYPER TODDLER!.
Fifteen minutes later, I receive a phone call.
MG: Um, where are her pull-ups.
Whistler: I dunno. Why are you asking?
MG: I take Mo’s pants off and she has NOTHING on underneath them.
Whistler: *PAUSE* Um. The last time I checked she had them on. I guess she decided to take them off.
MG: Yeah. We need to watch this thing.
The child decided on her own to go COMMANDO! Thank God that she didn’t have an accident.
Overall, it was a great weekend. Quality time was spend with good people and seeing Mo play her heart is the delight of any parent.
It’s now Monday. I’m ready for my nap!
