TMP - volume 1
While waiting for my friend Erik (InfamousCow) to show up at Lowe’s so he could buy a snowblower(and forgo the truck rental by using my Element) I walked around Target to check on a few things. One of my usual stops is to browse what new music has come in; especially the Red Room endcap. There, I can usually find a band or two that I’ve heard of and a few that I’m curious about.
I’m cheap, there is no denying that fact. I love CD’s that are on sale. Tonight, I picked up two for $6.98 a piece and WOW! What an awesome find. Had they been the full price, I might not have bought them.
Lily Allen - Alright, Still
I heard an interview with Lily Allen awhile ago on Satellite Radio and I was liked her right away. She’s British and mixes Rock Steady and Pop with a female like-type attitude. The first few tracks of the album grabs your attention. Now, I only have to get through the rest without being interrupted.
Silversun Pickups - carnavas
I went out on a leap of faith with this one. I usually try to listen to a few tracks before I decide, but I couldn’t get Amazon to play friendly on my phone. The band reminds me of a couple bands that I’ve been listening to for years. Their sound is unpolished with lead vocals that don’t seem to overpower the band.
So run out to your local store and pick up some new music. Make sure you let me know what you’ve purchased. I’d love to hear about it..
