This Birthday is brought to you by the Number 3
I’ve been up for the past several hours thinking of the right way to wish Mo a Happy Birthday.
When I think of Mo, it turns into an endless stream of questions that someday I want to ask her.
When you sleep, what do you dream about?
When you have that devilish look in your eye, what is running through your mind.
Do you have any idea how much you are loved?
Mo was never supposed to have come about the way that she did. She is indeed a miracle. Not only to our lives, but to the lives of everyone that she comes in contact with. She is everything in a daughter that I could ever ask for. That infectious giggle that captures everyone’s attention. The way that she responds with “DAH-DEE” when I call out her name. The way that her eyes light up when I pick her up at school. The hugs. The kisses. Unsolicited “I Love You’s”. Everything!
Mo, you are indeed the by-product of both your parents. You have the good and the well, the part that will challenge us to the very end. You bring out the best in me and make me proud to be your father, your dad, your bestest buddy in the whole world (hopefully somewhere above the Mawnies and CarDog). There isn’t a day that goes by that I miss you even when I’ve just seen you 5 minutes ago. You are growing in leaps in bounds. You are determined, you are independent, you are a bundle of creative energy.
Happy Birthday to you my little squidge. As the years move along and as your grow in stature and knowledge, may our bond grow as well. I will never take you for granted and I promise to do my best to let you know that you are loved more than anything.
Here is some picture goodness of Mo to help you through your day. While you’re at it, go on over and read what Mo’s Mommy had to say.
