Achy Breaky you name it…
It’s been a long week sandwiched in between to busy busy weekends.
As soon as I get some tea, I’ll be back to recap for everyone..

The whole moving process was quite the adventure.
The day before settlement I called the electric company to make sure that things would be moved. I get home and I have NO POWER. I wasn’t finished packing so I basically had to finish packing in the dark. I tried to call and there was nothing the electric company would do to help me.
ME: So there is nothing you can do for me huh?
Electric Company: That is right, you’ll have to call tomorrow during normal business hours.
ME: So what exactly do you do?
Electric Company: We’re here to help in case a tree falls on your house or there is some emergency where you are without power.
ME: ...and you then tell them to call back tomorrow.
Electric Company: Basically.
Since I had no power, I was late for settlement. Who was the jerk who asked for an 8am settlement? As my Realtor pointed out it was me who asked for it.
Ooops.
The weather on Friday the 27th was rainy. Great! Just what I needed. I am lucky I drive an Element because if I owned a small car I would still be moving all the small odds and ends items. I moved about 7 or 8 trips and felt that I had a good handle on things.
Saturday, the moving crew came. Thank goodness for them. I rented a truck and we had everything out of the old apartment in less than 2 hours. That included time spent arguing with one of the 8million older than dirt people who live in my complex because I parked the moving truck in their spot.
Unloading took a little longer, but thank goodness nothing was broken. w00t!
Later in the day, and note, later in the day my washer and dryer came. If you were ever in need of 2 large paperweights I might have two large white objects for you. Needless to say, I have a washer and dryer, but they are far from functional.
Oh. rather interesting story. Next door to me, is a house shared by FIVE NURSING SCHOOL STUDENTS!! Two of them came over to introduce themselves on Friday. They wanted to let me know that they were hosting a party on Saturday night and that they normally don’t do anything like this. Oh, yeah, I was invited to come over if I so desired.
When my dad and brother came over to deliver my paperweights Washer and Dryer, my brother did the rightful thing and wandered over to the party. We go to meet two more of the roommates and then tried our luck at Beer Pong. Can you believe that this was my first time playing Beer Pong?!? I guess my sheltered life was really sheltered after all. (JUST KIDDING MOM and DAD.. )
The rest of my week has consisted of trying to figure out where everything goes, trying to wish the paperweights into operation and then above all things, starting up baseball.
Right now, I think my body is ready to go on strike. I totally forgot how much baseball puts a hurting on my body. I’m not complaining. Not one bit. I love my baseball gig. I work with some great people who are appreciative of what I bring to the table.
Now, If I could only get up off this table. I’m pooped.
