2007 - I bet you wonder how it went?

Leave it to me to be late on the scene, but maybe I’ve just been trying to find a way to put 2007 into a few choice words.

2007 was quite the learning year for me.  There were so many changes that it knocks me for a loop trying to think of them all.  I know that I am truly a better person on so many different levels.

  • I learned that at this point in life it is possible to make new friends who not only allow you to laugh, but also will challenge the very being of who you are and help you be a better person.  Friends who who understand that we make mistakes and no matter how stupid we are remain friends and respect that bond.

  • I learned that sometimes old friendships are not what they seem and that changes are necessary in order to maintain a healthy relationship.  It’s easy to just write these people off, but what good does that cause?  I think it’s better to just regather and move forward.

  • I learned the important lesson that healing starts from within.  It’s nice to have encouraging people around you, but sometimes they don’t know the true intentions of your heart.  It’s so easy to get wrapped up into the status quo.  Doing that causes you to miss the finer points in life.

  • I learned about myself and the way I can come across to people.  Sometimes it takes a broken soul to truly realize this.  I can say that during 2007 I dealt with lows more than I have ever in my life.

  • I learned that the faster I run from something the faster it comes barreling at me.  I have been sidestepping my spiritual walk for the longest time and during 2007 it was evident to me that the desire to grow has never been stronger.

  • I lived in 3 places during 2007, one of them being the house I purchased back in April.  I can’t believe I’ve been there 8 months.  I feel that I am still saying “When I get the chance to unpack things will be like this....” LOL. Thank you to all the friends that have graced my house with their presence.  You all are wonderful.

  • 2007 brought about the gift of Potty Training.  Thank you to Gram and Grandpa for their determination.  We lost the bet that you’d be able to do it!!  All it took was for you two to move over 6 hours away.  It’s wonderful to see my little girl’s eye light up when she hears your voice.

  • As a parent, it’s amazing to see the changes in my little girl.  She is growing up so fast.  It’s amazing to know that the fun is far from over.

Overall, 2007 was a year of learning and encouragement.  2008 will bring about new changes.  Some good, some bad, but I know that through it everything will be okay.

    Doing the Pee-Pee dance.

If I hear Rabbi Speakerphone tell someone one more time that “He has to visit the little boy’s room”.. aka “Gotta take a leak”, I’m gonna scream.

That is something you should NOT be telling a customer.

    Someone smack me now!

OH YEAH.. My 2007 recap is coming. I’m a little slow.. (too many smacks to the head)
