Tedious Music Prick - More super! More Furry!

Being on a never ending quest for new music, my attention turned to my IM Buddy List one day.  I spotted an online acqaintance who was displaying the song and artist of what they were listening to.

“SUPER FURRY ANIMALS”.  Whoa!  What a neat name.  My curiosity got the better of me so I was forced to check on this band.  I was very impressed.  In a matter of no time, I had amassed quite a bit of their music and it has found itself in my heavy playing rotation.

Pop!  Still kickin’

Just wanted to say hi to all my 2.5 readers out there.  I am still alive, I’ve been busy as heck with work and work and then working on the house (mo’s room to be exact!)

A pause in the stopwatch of time

I was planning on giving you an update to my very busy week, but in lieu of the date, I will not be doing so. 

All I ask is that today, you reach out to the person that you love and you tell them how much you truly love them.  Regardless of the circumstances, never take them for granted.

That is all I have to say.  For some, today is a day to celebrate, for others, it is a day of pondering.

Well isn’t that just SUPER!

I’ve seen some rather interesting things during my day, especially while at work.  Today was no exception.  While working in the front office at a small borough office outside of Pittsburgh, a gentlemen walks into pay his water bill.  I look up to see who it is and I spot this rather large object on his finger.  As I moved to take a closer look, I discovered it was a 2006 Super Bowl ring.  Dude played for the Pittsburgh Steelers!  Wow! 

I’m not sure how he felt about some doofus taking pictures of his ring, but he was very polite and even started up a conversation.

Weekend Smeakend..

Whoa Nelly!  Whatta weekend There was so much to do that I’m still not sure exactly what happened.

I’ll try to recap it all for you.

3 baseball games, 1 bruised sternum, a Weird Al concert date night with my favorite blonde cutie (THANK YOU TIM!). An afternoon appearance with a bunch of snotty crotch-punching rich kids.  A rain delay complete with my own version of “Singing in the Rain”.  Antique shopping with a toddler (BIG MISTAKE, I suggest that you don’t try this at all!)

All in all it was a busy, but great weekend.  It was good to see Cheryl and PJ come out for a visit.  First time in almost 3 years.  Wish you could have stayed longer.  Thanks for all the help in the house.  I can walk through my living room now.  Now come back soon so I can get some painting done (JUST KIDDING)

A huge thanks to MG and FMB for being flexible in their schedules.  You two truly showed what it means to “Have my back!”.

Last, but not least.  Today is my dad’s birthday.  That’s right.  He’s now 54 and still thinks that he can kick my butt.  LOL.. Just messing with you dad.  I hope you had a great day today.  Make sure you find a way to wish him a happy birthday!  That’s right, I’m talking to you!
