Nobody is Home!

Mo:  Knock Knock.
Daddy:  Who’s there?
Mo:  Knock Knock.
Daddy:  Who’s there?
Mo:  Knock Knock.
Daddy:  Um, No body is home.
Mo:  Ok.  Buh-Bye.

Yes.  Mo is learning the art of the knock knock joke.  I think we have a little bit to go.

Mo in Pictures - 4.23.07

First of all, I want to say thanks for Gram and Grandpa for watching Mo for a couple days last week.  Friday, when I went to pick up Mo after work we decided to walk over to the Mexican place for some dinner.  We had about a 20 minute wait so Mo decided to keep herself busy by training for the Olympics.

The determination that this child has is amazing.  She was running back and forth like her life depended on it.  It was so cute.  I did notice however, that you can clearly see her hair color changing.  I knew it was turning but these pictures have made it all too evident.  I’m gonna miss my little blondie.

What proud father couldn’t resist putting this picture up.  Look at those eyes.  She’s gonna be giving them to a boy some day, and I’m gonna be right there poking said boy in the eye with a stick.

TMP:  Yee-Haw and pass the sledgehammer!

I’m gonna come right out and say it.  Rip the band-aid off.

I hate Country Music.  From the twang, to every song sounding ABSO-FRIGGEN-LUTELY the same.

I don’t care how many albums they sell.  It sucks.

The more you listen to the stuff, the more you realize that Country music is more repetitive then Techno.

UGH!

One Time, At Band Camp…

Toddlers say the weirdest things.  It’s amazing how their vocabulary grows on a daily basis.

Lately, Mo has been doing something that is almost straight outta an American Pie movie.

MO:  “The other day I washed my hair and splashed around in the tub, remember Daddy, remember?”

I almost wet myself laughing.

She then went on to say.. “Then, I got my hair wet and I didn’t like it, remember Daddy, remember?”

I was waiting for her to start saying, “This one time, at Band Camp..”

God Bless Mo and her growing vocabulary.  Not only is a source of humor, but it’s gonna be fun for others too.  They can watch me pull the hair out of my head when she gets to the 20 questions phase.

Blah Blah Blah

People either talk too much or they expect you to talk.  Blah Blah Blah.

There are days when I absolutely hate to explain myself.  I always seem to dig myself further into a hole.  Maybe that is part of the reason why I hate talking on the phone, maybe that is why I don’t like to get into arguments.  I honestly don’t know.

In honor of all this.  I’d like to share with you this song..

Click, Watch… Enjoy!

TMP:  The Master and his Disciple.

It’s good to have influences.  It’s even better to influence others.

For the last few years MG has taken advantage of me.  In a good way.  She has harnessed the power of The Prick for her own personal benefit.  I have a passion to discover new bands and because of that I am constantly listening and perusing for new music.  MG has waited for me to do the research and has eagerly welcomed the new music with open arms.

Today in a discussion she says that she has found her musical niche.  She likes Indie/Folk/Alternative.

*DING*

I am proud of the girl.  For years she has learned and studied at the feet of the master.  Today, the student became the master for all but a brief moment.  Thanks to MG, I now am a fan of the band Unkle Bob.  I guess her watching Grey’s Anatomy isn’t bad after all.  (YES, MG, I KNOW WHERE YOU DISCOVERED THIS BAND!)

On another musical note.  The band Travis is coming out with a new album.  The other day whist driving, I hear/see a new track from the band play.  This made me wonder if they were coming out with a new album.  I was right, they are.  May 7th The Boy with No Name is due to hit the stores.  Check out the video.. I give it my seal of approval.  Yes, there is even a mascot in it too!!

Keep up the good work MG.

Survey says.."AAAAAAAAAARRRGH”

Yeah, yeah.  I know it’s been a few days since I’ve last posted.  What a busy few days it has been.

I have 16 days to settlement and I have nothing packed.  I don’t have a mover scheduled and I’m managed to get out of my lease a month early which means that I have 4 days to move and clean out my apartment.

The stress has been building and building and building.  My list of things to do are far outweighing the time I have available.

Between hitting myself in the head over my taxes, and then trying to finish up a website project I want to scream.  Let the cloning begin!!

Okay enough of this..  Now is the part of our program where we click below to find our moment of piece and tranquility…

Drive Straight Turn My Stomach

Those that know me know that I LOATHE Nascar!  I think it’s the stupidest thing that has even existed in the face of mankind; right up there with Geometry, Inflatable Lawn Decorations, and Fruit By The Foot.

A few weeks ago, I was strolling through my local Barnes and Noble, sipping my tasty beverage when I spotted something that nearly caused me to spit my delightful drink all over the place.

A NASCAR ROMANCE NOVEL?  Is there any peace in the world?  There was a whole set of these things.  What in the world could they write to fill multiple books?

CHAPTER ONE:
I spotted Billy Ray Bob Jeff at the race.  His lone tooth was shining in the North Carolina sun.  I was torn with grief because I was out on a date with my cousin Earl.  Billy Ray Bob Jeff shared his dreams of someday becoming a race car driver.  Until then, he was paying his dues as a urinal scrubber at the local Go-Kart track.

Geesh!  Get a life people!

Party Pooped

Yes, I have a child.
Yes, there was a birthday yesterday.
Yes, I am tired.  Very tired.

More news to report about the party later.  I’m attempting to prop up my head so it doesn’t crash onto my desk.
